Made with organic white bread flour combined with organic rye flour, it’s a great introduction to rye bread. It’s rich, moist and wholesome, ideal for brunch, poached eggs and avocado anyone?
What is Rye
Rye is a very sturdy and nutritious ancient grain, with a lower gluten content therefore it doesn’t rise as much as a white wheat flour loaf, so here I’ve combined it with Organic Strong white bread flour or Spelt to give it the softness we all love.
Most commercially produced flours contain chemicals and additives which aren’t healthy for us, therefore all of The Twilight Baker’s products are made with organically sourced flour from eatwholefoods. The grains in these flours have been grown without weedkillers like glyphosate, which can be harmful to soil and crop health. As a result, organic crops are healthier for us and for our environment.
At The Twilight Bakery, they add no preservatives or additives to any of their products because, put simply, quality fresh produce doesn’t need it. This is food in its truest form./p>
