The resulting flavour of jasmine tea is subtly sweet and highly fragrant. It’s a perfect caffeinated tea to drink with food, most popularised by Chinese restaurants. But ours is not the flavoured variety, as is so often found. Good value for the fine quality, this drink is perfect as a pick-me-up, or as an every day drinking tea.
Preparing our organic jasmine green tea is best done in a pot or deep dish tea strainer.
Brew for at least three minutes in water of about 93˚C. If you’ve not got the traditional tea drinking paraphernalia, turn the kettle off about 25 seconds before it boils. Or leave boiled water sit for about 1 minute before pouring over the leaves. Boiling water, in our honest experience, scalds the delicate flavours, leaving a blanched, diffuse flavour.
