Used in soups and stews, barley is a sweet and nourishing, slow-release grain, favoured by those who want to maintain a low carbohydrate intake. Our quality pot barley is tasty and adds a great deal of flavour to slow cooked meals. Barley makes great bread flour and I often put some into my pancakes, scones, bread and sauces.
