How is it that nuts can be sweet? The pecan nut is my answer. Ours are crunchy and so sweet you would think you are eating something cooked with sugar. This is why we use them for the classic pecan pie. They can also be added to sweeten muesli, cakes biscuits, healthy bars, curries, stews…they are a versatile ingredient. Pecans are an excellent source of vitamin E, and a rich source of minerals like manganese, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc and selenium.
